this hook also came from a dream! i was on a festival watching myself perform on stage with a band and we sang the first half of the hook. i woke up, recorded a voice memo and added the second half, then went back to sleep.

the rest of the song came from a conversation with a friend about neurodivergence, trauma, and power. i mentioned how no one could really enter the hellscape of my mind to help me because i'm the only one who can survive it and he said, "oh, like jean grey."

so i wrote a song about it.
